I recommend doing that for the convenience and not having to
walk
all the way to the street.

All of the close-in spots are reserved for Valet parking, so you have to
walk
a fair distance to get to the available spots.

What really got on my nerves was the outrageous charge for the parking garage, which is not even connected to the hotel (you need to
walk
across the courtyard).

Self-parking in the garage was $18/day, and to go between the garage and the rooms we had to take two elevators in separate buildings and
walk
outdoors between the two buildings (is was cold and rainy during our stay), and sometimes the garage was exremely full.

If you don't mind a little
walk
parking along the public street is definitely worth it to save the $18 a night parking garage fees or the $25 a night valet service.
