1. Parking is something of a challenge in La Jolla, even in January, so we appreciated the hotel's valet parking--the car was available whenever we wanted it (they were very quick!), but we found it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go in town, only using the car for sightseeing jaunts out of town and business trips to San Diego.
