San Paulo station before you catch the bus home, for a much cheaper price than in Rome (always take bus 766.

On the way back, take
metro
again, now it's towards Laurentina (blue line), and get off at San Paolo's
metro
station, and take bus 766 again.

Then take bus 766, and you must get off at Basilica San Paolo
metro
station (blue line), and from there, take the
metro
towards Rebbibia, but get off at the (Colosseum stop) which will take you to the heart of the city.

You must take two modes of transportation to get to the city from the hotel; but if you don't mind, this is what you need to do: you must buy a 1-way ticket prior to getting to the bus, which is also good for the
metro
; you can buy it at the reception, it costs one euro.

the hotel was also just a 2 minute walk from the bus stop which is a 10 minute ride to the
metro
