7. Just a few blocks from the ocean, we could easily walk to many other hotels and restaurants, as well as Waikiki Beach.

8. We had a wrap around balcony so I could see both the view towards Waikiki (even a bit of the ocean) and the golf course that is on the back side of the hotel.

9. This is a no-nonsense hotel -- it is about 3 or 4 blocks from the beach (but very close to the Ala Wai Canal), so there is no ocean view; the rooms are not fancy, but generally clean and tidy.
