1. Just behind the hotel is a strip mall (Town and Country) with a Trader Joe's and it's very convenient to walk over to buy some fruit for breakfast etc. A great secondhand clothing store called My Sister's Closet is there as well.

2. There are plenty of good eating and shopping options within walking distance, and the neighborhood is pretty good, safe for walking around even at night.

4. 30 min walk to the Biltmore complex, where I had a convention event-- a really nice and pretty walk, even at 100 degrees.
