1. Parking in DC can be pain, and the hotel has a valet service which was full when I arrived, but there's a well-lit, safe 24-hour self park garage right around the corner which was actually cheaper than the hotel valet.

9. A valet came outside, but when i said i was not parking, he walked off and made zero effort to help with our luggage until we actually asked (okay, technically that may not be in his job description, but I was amazed at being ignored).
