1. They charge for parking and wi-fi, but if you walk 20 feet from the hotel lobby to the Starbucks shop you've got free wi-fi.

9. It was not obvious to me initially, but you could reach the student center (food court, bookstore, cafe, market) directly from the hotel lobby, never having to go outside.
