1. The lounge area is comfortable with free, very good coffee in the mornings, and the neighborhood is pleasant and mostly residential.

8. We were a little leery about not being very close to the Metro, but staying here allowed us to discover the bus system, which is great (the hotel is a half-block from the 14th St lines), and also to explore a new DC neighborhood.

9. The Helix also has a good location in the Logan Circle neighborhood, and is reasonable walking distance from large parts of downtown as well as Dupont Circle.

10. The area is great-you can walk to Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan for shops and action or one block to Logan Circle for a quiet walk around a beautiful historic neighborhood.
