2. Unfortunately, a couple of details which make or break a stay for me were lacking: the beds were much too soft and the water pressure in the shower not existent.

7. In other reviews the water temperature and pressure were mentioned as being a problem but my husband found letting the sink hot side faucet run while letting the shower faucet run brought the water pressure sooner to the shower faucet and then it was easier to regulate the temperature so no problems with that.

8. Old house, re-worked into big, characterful rooms with a very pleasantly eclectic selection of furnishings; spotlessly clean throughout; en-suite bathrooms with the slightly erratic water pressure, during a shower, that reminded me of how my kid sister used to flush the downstairs loo in hopes of scalding me as I showered upstairs; biscuits / cookies and tea set out in a 'common room' of an afternoon, with, in the adjoining room, sofas drawn up in front of a large, cheerily blazing hearth.
"Repeat after me: "This is not a bed and breakfast" " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/22/2011 Vote
