1. I would stay there again but I liked the balcony on Decatur Street and there are only four of those rooms.

2. There was a balcony, beautiful antiques, high ceilings, and an old brick fireplace.

3. Also, the 'door' to our balcony was actually a huge window that slid open and you stepped out of, so because of the adjoining balcony you have to be careful to lock your door/window when you leave the room or guests in the other rooms could just walk in.

4. It was convenient to everything in the French Quarter and reasonably priced, the staff was polite and helpful, and as I said, the huge balcony made the room worth every penny.

5. Be warned, you will not have a private balcony, you will share with 2 other rooms, but the balcony is huge and has 4 or 5 tables on it and we used it as an opportunity to meet other vacationers.

10. But I wasn't at all prepared for the utter attractiveness of the place: low-rise balconied buildings and courtyards with trees, fountains and tropical plants, populated by an out-of-their-way gracious, friendly and helpful bell and desk staff, It's best to mention that this hotel is crafted from a number of ancient buildings in the quieter end of the French Quarter.
"It's pronounced "Charters" by the way. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/26/2011 Vote
