1. The location, toward the Esplanade end of Chartres street, was perfect.

2. This hotel is set up like a motel in that the doors to the rooms are accessible from the outside, but the rooms surround a courtyard and pool area, so the room doors are not facing the street, which is nice.

4. Being southeast of Bourbon Street put us on the quiet side of the celebration (even for Mardi Gras weekend) and just steps away from the sites of Decatur Street (the French Market, Cafe Du Monde, Central Grocery).
