1. If you don't mind walking a couple of blocks to the riverwalk (with very well lit streets and things to see on the way) stay at the LaCascada (the are friendly, clean, quiet, have valet parking, are helpful to elderly guests, and very roomy).

2. We looked directly down on the Riverwalk right where all the action is (there are a lot of quiet Riverwalk locations but this hotel is in the middle of the restaurants and nightlife (so there is some noise)).
