1. a fancy term, I think for saying that one elevator was broken and was being fixed.

2. Don't expect a health club or fancy restaurant (Actually Davio's Restaurant) is essentially attached to the hotel) but with all the cool places on the block and adjoining blocks you can eat pretty much any kind of food and drink in any kind of place.
