1. If one likes to take a step in the past ,but with the advantages of the present ( Internet ) this in Philly is the perfect place.

2. There are no long hallways in this hotel, in fact there are separate stairwells that each access only 4 rooms, so even though the hotel was fully booked (15 rooms) when I was there, I never felt like I was surrounded by people.

6. After a full day of walking all over Philly, I was delighted with the comfortable double bed - sturdy enough for two people but soft enough to sink into a little, with wonderful linens and pillows, and a welcome absence of artificial fragrances or febreze-like scents.

7. The unusual layout of the rooms (grouped in 3's on different carpeted staircases) makes one feels like a house guest in a large private home, but with all desired privacy.

8. The TV was circa 1975 but if youre looking for a hotel room based on the tv, you wont like this place anyway.
