2. Go to check out the view - very disappointing, all you can see is like an internal ventilation chamber to the building, with no view whatsoever and little light getting down there; many rooms must be like this as you can look across into a number of other rooms spread around the chamber.

I can strongly recommend a stay at this hotel and I suggest you go onto their website to check on promotional deals they offer (like the stay 3 or more days including a Sunday offer) to make the cost more affordable and to offset the exorbitant garage fees which by the way are fairly standard for hotels in the center of New Orleans.
