1. Despite horror stories I found online, there was no trace of dirt or insects and the room had clearly been made-over recently with new wall coverings, glossy new paint on the crown/floor mouldings, furniture with no traces of dings or scratches.

4. sounds like a fairly new place, NOT, this is an older hotel and the mattresses haven't been replaced in years, terrible nights sleep and is over priced.
