1. In retrospect, I wish I had stayed at the Marriott across the street, which looked brand new and had a modern lobby (and I hear, rooms).

9. When walking into the hotel reception I was a litle worried because it was a bit pokey and tired looking however as soon as you go up in the lifts and step out onto the other floors you are greeted by a newly refurbished hotel that is modern and clean.
