1. The staff are very helpful and aim to please--several chatted with me about great places for happy hour (try RA sushi a few blocks east, with half price apps and discounted drinks 4-7, or Mela in Fells Point) and restaurants when the concierge was busy.

5. Then they upgraded our room for free, and when we went out to dinner that night they must have tried to sing happy b-day again because we got back there was a beautiful, obviously handmade cake with fondant icing and happy Birthday written in chocolate around the plate.

7. We were offered 2 doubles on the 25th floor which we were happy about especially once we saw the view from the room which was excellent.
