1. It is a 1 1/2 block walk to Fremont street (all indoors except crossing one street).

4. it was great except the pool was across the street at the california hotel, there was no frig, microwave or coffe pot and no continental breakfast,otherwise the room was clean and the maid service was great.

I've always loved this hotel (its cleanliness, the nicely sized rooms, the ambiance, the prices of both rooms and meals, the in-house micro-brewery) - except for one big flaw: a confirmed reservation for a nonsmoking room is regarded as merely a 'Suggestion' and, almost without exception, I have to fight to get the type of room I reserved.
