1. The property offers free shuttles to the strip if you don't want to drive yourself, so the distance is really no inconvenience.

3. This is where the B-Connected card came in handy as it offers a buy one, get one free game of bowling, which, combined with the Sunday night special of $1 games, got me 2 games of bowling plus a pair of shoes for under $4.

7. In addition to the room rate, they charge a 'resort fee' ($ 5 per night), which gets you a cup of coffee in your room (which elsewhere is usually free), a copy of USA Today, and -- you guessed it -- a shuttle to the airport, if your flight comes in or leaves during business hours.

8. From the hotel's website, I couldn't tell that the free airport shuttle only runs between business hours -- as I arrived later, I had to spring for a cab which almost doubled the price of my stay (it's about ten miles from the airport).
