It is not downtown Austin, if you are looking for that kind of city buzz (we obviously weren't), but if you are coming through or have kids or need a pad while working, or have a wedding and need to accommodate a bunch of guests (we witnessed one wedding party come through one night), then this is most certainly the place for you.
