1. We usually like Hampton's but this one was not well maintained and the staff seemed to lack training.

3. I get the feeling this might have been a different chain's property at some point, because it's laid out more like a motel than like a typical Hampton Inn; room doors face the parking lot, you can drive right up to your room, etc.

7. Although everything is maintained to acceptable levels, once you leave your room you don't feel like you're staying at a Hampton Inn (although you ARE paying for it.

8. It sounded like people in the parking lot outside our room were actually in our room and the people in the room next to our room could be easily heard.

9. The actual room was fine but I am always disappointed when an older hotel with exterior doors is remodeled and upgraded by a major chain like Hampton.
