1. Book in advance for Alcatraz trips - San Fran fun - crooked streets amusing - go to Lombard Street the famous crooked one - Pier 39 fun & pretty - aqaurium okay but we preferred Vancouver's which had more shows.

4. And yes, the location is great for many reasons: right on Geary and Van Ness, SF`s main drags; fun, safe neighborhoods are within walking distance (just head north instead of south).
