Pros: * pretty cheap for the area (within 10 minutes of a lot of attractions, often less) * friendly service when we checked out * spacious room Cons: * no wireless internet * bathroom was in dire need of repair The bathroom kind of ruined it for me and I would have given a completely negative review if my companion had not shown me the light.

8. The guy on the front desk was friendly and helpful (even if English wasn`t his first language), and he gave us a huge room, from which you could see downtown, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.
