4. A friend who used to live in San Francisco said to stay in Marina district or Pacific Heights for alternative, cool places which were safe and had nice restaurants, boutiques etc.

5. What I thought was really cool was that if you walk to the top floor ( or take the elevator), you can go out onto the roof ( I`m not sure if guests are supposed to do this), and the view of the city is just great.
