1. (We missed it but I understand they serve sherry and cookies in the afternoon), and of course they offer a generous complimentary daily breakfast which we enjoyed in the dining room, wasn't super but convenient and plentiful.

9. As far as transportation, we generally took taxis, which were reasonably cheap, although there is a bus stop one block from the hotel that heads downtown and will get you to Union Squre within five minutes or so for $1.

The hotel has been described by others as generally clean with a little dust around the corners and that is absolutely correct while our rooms were very well kept and clean the hotels main rooms had a bit of dust around the corners and while the rooms were mostly freshly painted they were a little scoffed up around the baseboards.
