Found the location ideally situated - from front door, 10secs to subway/10min walk to Bryant Park, 15min walk to Rock Center with lots of
cool
shopping, abundant restaurants/coffee shops/take out in between.

We ended up keeping the thermostat low and turning the fan off except for a short period when we got back to the room at the end of the day and/or before going to bed, and the room was comfortable that way--but we like
cool
rooms.

When it is cold outside, do not dress up before you get to the lobby or you will cook waiting for the elevator and then the numerous stops until you reach where it is actually
cool
.

It's what you would expect for a mid-range hotel, one
cool
feature was we could adjust the firmness of the beds.

Heating/
cool
ing system was a bit picky -- raise the temp on the thermostat 1 degree and it would go from too cold to too hot.
