6. I met my husband in the Fairmont Calgary, and subsequently fell in love in the Fairmont Lake Louise, so have nothing but good will towards this venerable American hotel chain.

7. We loved the pool, which was perfect for the kids to play, and the large crystal clear hot tub (more like a hot pool) where we spent a lot of time.
