8. All the main restaurants/night spots are within decent walking distance in addition to most of the downtown office locations.

9. Not a big Westin fan, but I was on a road trip, it was pouring rain, and we just pulled off into downtown, drove around a bit and stopped in at the first decent looking hotel we saw.
