1. So for this trip I wanted to be more centrally located in Lihue, Kauai's largest town with several inexpensive local-y places to eat, and did not need a luxurious resort with a pool, spa, and beach to loll about in or spend time at.

3. We would have felt cramped if we had been there more than a couple nights although, while not luxurious, the rooms were quite comforable and the facilities were well maintained.
