My room smelled extremely musty and moldy (dust and active mold) and the window faced a dirty, empty lot next door -- with the sun streaming in all evening, closing all the curtains tightly was the only option (although the hotel was not full and other rooms were available on the other side, reception was empty and I was just too tired to care).
