1. gorgeous views of New Orleans, the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine every evening (use plastic cups from room, glass is not allowed).

3. It was absolutely gorgeous and in a good location in the French Qtr (a 1 minute walk to Brennans, which I highly recommend for dinner, a 2min walk to Bourbon Street, and a quick 4min walk to Jackson Square, the water, Cafe DuMond, and a 5min walk to the Market).

5. Charles streetcar, the oldest continuously running line in the US; ate fried oysters at Stanley's, had our picture taken with the musicians in Jackson Square, even bought a gorgeous gold bracelet in one of the classy shops on Royal Street and a jeweled mask at another.

8. ) Other than that the decor was gorgeous in the lobby, the pool and pool bar on the roof was great (we were given 4 free drinks when our room was not ready in time) and the staff very very pleasant and friendly - especially the door man Marty.
