2. NEEDED WORK: some of the decor was at best dated (and in some cases 'tired'); our balcony door was nearly rusted shut; our bathroom drain needed unplugging twice; the temperature system for the room is limited to either heating or cooling.

5. Embassy Suites as you would expect them, all similar, view of the bay and airport (kind of cool), overall a good value and all the amenities you are used to at Embassy Suites.
