1. Instead of feeling like we treated ourselves to a bit of 4-star luxury we left feeling a bit ripped off by the whole experience.

2. Compared to 3 star hotels where you pay half the price and parking and internet are free, the Hyatt really likes to squeeze every last dollar out of you, charging extra for these basic services.

3. the sheets and pillows had lots of stains, room smelled like bleach and had to air out room, gift shop closed early and nearest place to get snacks was 15 mins away, and had to pay a outragous parking fee.

6. It's a short drive to La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Pacific Beach, Del Mar and inland areas like Mira Mesa's businesses, Kearny Mesa's many wonderful Asian restaurants.
