1. unless you want to be in the centre of a vibrant town, which the resort is not - or unless you want TV (there are no TVs - but there is free wifi) or unless you want to be able to swim off your own beach (its too rough here)(but there is a pool).

2. The 'special' once a week (free) breakfast by the pool was also terrible: store bought rolls, stale bread, bagels, and coisants.

3. ) On our last night out tired and hungry we arrived only to find our luggage ,which was stored for free by the way ,already in our room, we hitailed it to the mediterranean cafe for the best steak sandwich I have ever had.

8. By the time you get to the funky,surfing (and touristy) town of Hanalei itself you are feeling free and relaxed and beginning to experience the deeper sense of rest and relaxation you came all the way to Kauai to experience.
