2. If you head north, you hit the Fisherman's market area in 2 blocks which was fun to see and has one to-go eatery called 'Jimmy's Grill' that has very affordable and generous portions of fried seafood, homemade pies, and more that seemed very popular.

3. Overall, if you can afford a tourist or business class hotel, go for it, but you're definitely much, much better off at the Channel Inn than at a budget chain hotel.

4. If you don`t mind staying in a basic, slightly run-down motel then this place would be fine, considering how difficult it is to find affordable places to stay in DC.
