1. There's a main line of the Union Pacific that goes through Tucson, so it's hard to avoid the sound - beware.

If you are going to UMC this is a very convenient location easy to get to the center and staff is great i would not hesitate to stay for our shorter trips but not for the long ones as she needs to have a kitchen anything over two days i would get a bigger suite and as for the train I don't think you can avoid that train any where you stay.

3. Anywhere south of University after dark is really sketchy and a local strongly suggested we avoid going there.
