Traffic is never a
problem
in Spokane, so staying in the Valley when visiting a college student isn't really an inconvenience--and you avoid the premium of (and the cost of parking) downtown.

The pool although nice had a heater
problem
the first night so it was too cold to swim in and it had large windows that faced out onto a busy road, so it lacked privacy.
