1. Affordable, clean (yes, smelled of bleach when we walked in the door, which my wife likes) and with its own funky southwestern style, including colorful walls and other stylish accoutrements.

2. State st is noisy as it is, but downtown has so many homeless as well, it was depressing -creaky and uncomfortable bed -very thin, tired towels-while I really appreciate the cleanliness, I felt like I was breathing in toxic fumes everytime I wiped my face with a towel or crawled under the sheets to sleep - they heavily smell of bleach.

4. But the uncovered light bulbs, hanging electrical cords, broklen closet door completely off its track and leaning against the wall, peeling trim, flimsy windows, tattered curtains, and that nasty smell were so icky.
