1. We went to both Delmar Beach and Torrey Pines State Beach - both highly recommended, very clean - the sea was quite rough and the waves big, so probably not idea for tiny children - but older kids would love it, and you could hire body boards in certain areas.

2. The suite was spacious, plenty of room (we were there for 7 nights), the kitchenette was very tiny - but adequate.

3. Toiletries for the bathroom were sparse - 1 tiny bottle of shampoo & 2 bars of soap and no shower cap and the `light` cleaning was only the bedmaking and change of towels.
