5. I was there for a training session and did not have a car, which was a bit of a problem as the hotel is quite a distance from any restaurants except the adjacent Denny's (same owners as the hotel).

6. It is located off a major thoroughfare, however, so getting about Salem is not a problem from this location.

7. Although this hotel is in an urban area, I was able to go jogging around the perimeter of nearby Salem Airport (jet noise was not a problem - I saw only one aircraft using the airport the entire time I was in Salem) - a good change from using a treadmill at a hotel gym.
