1. Couldn't take it anymore, so I finally gathered up all the dirty towels and threw them out the front door onto the parking lot (remember, no corridors?),After that, the stink went away and we could finally sleep.

2. Meaning that when we returned that night to sleep, we found a dirty room with unmade beds, unvacuumed floor, uncleaned sink and bathroom, and wet, moldy, bath towels sitting in the tub, stinking up the room.
