1. Secondly, we had a room which was nice and big, and had two windows as it was in the corner, however, the room was not soundproofed in anyway, so we heard the traffic (streetcars are very noisy) as well as any other sounds from outside.

3. The Garden District is a great location with kids, away from the noisy and often misbehaving crowd at night of Bourbon Street, and being at a 20 minutes ride only from the French Quarter, using the historic and convenient Streetcar stopping in front of the hotel.

6. ) A word of caution about room location: I stayed at this hotel almost 30 years ago, and knew that a room over the adjacent restaurant (now called the Superior Grill) would be noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
