1. The bedding was clean and smelled like bleach - which was a good news (they smelled clean) bad news (why did they have to use strong bleach in the laundry?) situations.

3. Desk clerks were almost entirely people who didn't speak very good English, and this led to problems with overcharging and otherwise bad service.

4. In short: not bad for one night, but until they do a basic remodel (thicker walls and better bedding), I wouldn't stay here if you plan on spending considerable amounts of time in the room.

5. Perhaps we are comparing the EconoLodge to such horrible motels as the Red Roof Inn (paper thin walls and people banging on doors at 3am) and the Days Inn (car broken into, no security cameras, and apathetic staff), that the EconoLodge doesn't seem bad in relation to the other cheap hotels here.
