The interstate is nearby, so it's easy to get to, but it's also far enough away to be quiet--the only
noise
I noticed was from the trains that came through late at night.

The pool had a metal bottom that would make a popping

when stepped on which could be disconcerting, but after the second day of 100 degree weather, I got used to it.
