1. The ceiling fan worked great when needed (rarely) and I noticed a space heater in the closet for colder weather-First floor gets a little noisy at 8am (it's an older building so not much you can do about that).

The room we were in had a plug next to the bed where all the plaster had come away and was barely hanging in to the wall, the mattress was so creaky that it could wake you up from the noise if you moved on your side in the night and it was often quite noisy in the mornings with doors banging, people walking down the stairs etc.

3. I was concerned that it might be noisy, but there is a quiet time enforced at night and noise was never a problem.
