1. The sinks and toilets were cracked, the hotel was old enough that _almost_ all of the doors were locked via keys (some had been updated to use keycards), and the hallways had the _strangest_ smell that I had ever had the misfortune to experience.

4. Floors are creaky, most rooms smell like smoke as do all public hallways, rooms are fairly clean and comfortable but desparately in need of some modern renovating, etc.
