1. When I stayed, had newer furnishings and only lacked flatscreen TV for the complete upgrade.

3. The room was small and I mean small, the tv was old style not that I spend much time watchign tv in Vegas but its just to me a lack of consideration for the guest it doesn't have to be a monster screen just a decent flat screen would be nice not something so outdated.

8. We have stayed at almost all the other hotels downtown (including the Golden Nugget [the most upscale hotel, but we found it to be large and impersonal and a bit snooty and wannabe strip-like], the Plaza [mixed experiences - it`s been a while, but it felt a bit gritty back in the day], Vegas Club [OK rooms but lacks personality], Golden Gate [really quaint and cozy in a bygone ere kind of way and great shrimp cocktails], Four Queens [again, nice rooms but slightly impersonal], Binions [not the same since it lost the 'Horseshoe', the Benny`s Natural breakfast special and the million dollar display], the Fitz [OK but generic], and Lady Luck [before it closed]) but our first choice for playing and staying downtown is easily the Fremont.

9. I was also disappointed by the lack of channels on cable for when I woke up with a hangover :)I would recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap stay downtown.
