The Ramada staff at the hotel were unwilling to help until I was about to leave early, the telephone support from Ramada was unable to help resolve this
problem

I returned to my room down the street and I called Ramada customer service telephone support and a nice fellow named Jason (I believe) agreed that this was a
problem
but he said that all Ramada properties are independently owned and thus he could do nothing for me.

but he quickly found me an acceptable room in the main building and helped me move my bags so I completed my stay at the Ramada.
