The wood slate blinds did not open or close, the TV was terribly old, the mattress was in need of replacing, the hot water tap leaked in bathroom, the thermostat was missing knobs and was finicky to control the temperature, the HVAC vent needed to be cleaned and the soot scrubbed from the ceiling, the safe was 'out of order,' and the entire room could have used a paint job.
